Competition & Performing Line Updates!

Hello parents,

I hope you enjoyed the weekend!

I want to say a special thank you to Miss Maggie for all of her years at DF. It will be a hard week for the kids to say good bye, but they will have special memories to hang on to for years to come.

Character Counts Initiative - We are excited to implement "Character Counts" over the next 6 weeks at DF. Miss Leeah created a lovely poster in the lobby, with a hole to hang "links." When a staff member sees a dancer exhibiting positive behavior and great character (giving an unsolicited compliment, helping out a teammate, cleaning up a mess that is not theirs, etc), they will be given a link to bring to the front desk to hang on the poster. When the links hit the ground, the entire studio will receive a special treat! Read more about Character Counts HERE

Holiday show information - Click HERE for your dancer's show time on 12/16. Click HERE for general Holiday show info. Tickets go on sale this SATURDAY!

If you are interested in helping out in the dressing room or security, sign up in the lobby! You will receive an account credit for your time!

Since we have the stage for the day, we would like to run a handful of competition dancers AFTER the last show. I will let you know by 11/15 which groups will stay late to do this. It's a great opportunity to practice on the stage!

PROP BUILDER NEEDED! - We are in need of a handy person to build 2 drum props for us for Production. Raise your hand by sending me an email ASAP if you can help out! This is for barter.

Routine cleaning weekend is a MANDATORY 3 hour weekend rehearsal on either Friday, 11/9  or Saturday, 11/10. Dancers will go through their 3 main routines (tap, jazz, lyrical) and teachers will review choreography and clean certain parts of the routines. We started doing this last year and we feel it really helped our dances look better come competition season.

Impact Dance Competition -Remind me who is getting a comped solo/duet from last year? A handful of routines did not get video feedback. We will make a list to send in to the competition and your accounts will also be credited for the fee.

Shoes for Hip Hop-If your dancer is taking hip hop, please wear clean gym shoes or combat boots for now until the teachers pick out shoes.

Lakefest 10/6-We were invited to perform in the gazebo at Lakefest on 10/6 between 11-11:45. Is anyone interested in performing their solo/duet from last year? Email me if interested.
