Hello parents,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for making our Production sleepover work, we realize the Monday pick up was not ideal. The kids had a blast and we are happy to finally have the theme of JUNGLE! announced. It's going to be an amazing routine!

Classes start THIS WEEK!!! We are SO excited!!!!

Mentors/Assistants/Junior assistants- We still have over 10 girls who have NOT filled out the survey requesting which classes work best. It was due on FRIDAY. Please fill this out TODAY if you are still interested: Form

High School Goals Breakfast For dancers in 9th-12th grade. We will meet at a restaurant (hopefully Keys!) for a yummy breakfast, listen to some relevant topics, and set goals for the year. Saturday, 9/22 10:00AM - location TBD. Sign up HERE

There is a MANDATORY TRAINING MEETING on 9/5 from 6-7PM at the studio


Miss Kaylee's Leadership nights - Join us for a relaxing, informative night. A different topic will be presented each time. Topics range from money management, nutrition, public speaking, and more! Mark your calendars- 9/30, 10/14, 11/11, 1/27, 4/14. 8:00-9:00PM at the studio


*Fall Practice -Practices will begin the week of 8/20 for Competition students. Schedule is attached.

We are OFF the first week of September so you can acclimate back to school! We resume on 9/10 with our regular fall schedule that was sent out with audition results.


EDIT - First week of classes 9/10 and 9/11 - Because the Moscow Ballet will be here, the schedule will be a little different:

Monday, 9/10 - Starburst Hip Hop and Crystal/Petite Tap Tech - NO CLASS 

Tuesday, 9/11 - Senior Elite Jazz will start at 6:00PM

*you may come to a make up class in any ballet, jazz tech, or tap tech class. This is optional


BOGO acro-We are bringing back our BOGO on our popular Acrodance class! Buy one month, get another for FREE! Monthly tuition is $40. Register online and mention you would like the BOGO deal.


Solo class make up for Company dancers- Company dancers who take the Solo Conditioning class, you may do a make up session 3:15-4 on 8/22 to make up for the time you are with Gigi.


Shoes for dance classes - If your dancer is new to ballet, please make sure you get sized by Shelly over month of August so you have shoes in time for September classes. The teachers are working hard on music/costume choices so they can pick out their shoe colors very soon!


August Dress Code - Ballet - black leotard, ballet pink tights, black booty shorts optional, hair in bun (low pony for short hair). Jazz/tap/lyrical - open dress code. Please no oversized clothing. Hair must be in BUN


Spring Recital DVD glitches - If your recital DVD is not working or has some glitches, please email me. The videographer thinks there might be several with this problem and can replace them for you.


Parent meeting on 9/5 - NEW - we are making this a VIRTUAL meeting for our returning families! We realize how busy life is at this time of year, and with a lot of redundant information, we feel that you can view it on your own time. We will have a LIVE MEETING FOR ALL NEW FAMILIES, or families who would like to come in person, at the studio at 7:30PM. We will also be open starting at 6PM for people to pick up their Competition folders (which includes your new contract and calendar). 


We also will be assigning buddies on 9/5 at the studio, and we will let you know what time this will start at. 


Solo/Duet Conditioning Summer class- Just a reminder, this class goes until Wed. 8/29. There are 7 classes total.


Solo/duet Conditioning class punchcard- Take your solo or duet to the next level! We will be extending this class into the fall! It will be a punch card drop in class. Punch cards can be purchased for $100 for 10 classes. Classes will be held:


Mondays 9:15-9:45 - Company, Senior Elite, Junior Elite, Fusion, Crystals, Petite

Thursdays 5:00-5:45 - Starbursts, Sunbeams

LA Trip summer 2019! - We have 13 on the maybe/for sure list! We finally have some details for you about this great opportunity. This trip will be late July/early August of 2019. The trip will be Th-Monday. Ages 13-up. I will be chaperoning, along with Kaylee and Maggie. This trip is only for students. If parents really would like to come, accommodations would have to be made on your own as we are trying to rent a large house through Air Bnb to stay in (saves lots of $). The details are HERE, and please note the total price includes everything, flight, lodging, classes, food, and fun.

*Nutcracker auditions with the Moscow Ballet - LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP! If you are thinking about it, please fill out the Google form. This is a GREAT opportunity! New Sunbeams you are welcome and encouraged to tryout for a "Snowflake" role! Auditions will be Sunday, 9/9 at 11AM. All students 5'6 and under with 1 year of ballet training are eligible to audition! It's a great experience, I encourage all of you to audition! Performance will be at the Orpheum Theater Saturday, 12/1 at 5PM. Here is the form to SIGN UP

ALL OLDER VARIATIONS WILL HAVE LIMITED PRACTICES AS LONG AS YOU KNOW YOUR MATERIAL! Older girls ages 11-up encouraged to try out for one of these parts!
