Competition & Performing Line Updates!

Hello parents,

I hope you had a great weekend! We had so much fun at Innovate, it was nice to see our routines on stage and see the dancers learn new things and give back. We created 73 scarves and 57 hats for Union Gospel Mission, and 61 craft kids for Family Wise! That is pretty awesome:)

Dress Rehearsal - 2/8 and 2/9 is our Competition and Performing Line Dress rehearsal! I am looking forward to seeing the dances on stage. HERE is the schedule. Bring ALL SHOES AND COSTUMES to rehearsal. HAIR AND MAKE UP should be done. Arrive ready to go 20 minutes before your first dance. 

MAKE UP tutorial is HERE. We will update you on when make up will arrive.

HAIR for Halos, Lightning, Angels, Starbursts, Crystals, Fusion, Petite Elite, Junior Elite, Sr. Elite, Company - Low bun. Hair parted in the middle. Use bun form or harigami. Hairnet must be put over bun. We will be working on a new tutorial video for the website, so if you are new do your best!

Cupids, Sunbeams - high, straight ponytail. No stray hairs. Use gel/hairspray/bobby pins. 

Fireworks, Sparklers - high, straight ponytail. No stray hairs. Use gel/hairspray/bobby pins. Make up for competition prep groups - watch the make up tutorial above, use your own make up since you are not required to purchase the competition make up. 

Pool Party after rehearsal - if you haven't signed up, fill out THIS form! Party is from 6-10PM, cost is $10. We have room for siblings so sign them up if you would like. If you are participating, bring a snack to share!

Privates with Mr. Micah - Micah has availability for a private lesson on Mondays from 3-4. He can do Acro or ballet privates, or a combination of both. Email me if you are interested!

Performing line audition camp -  7/22-24 DATE CHANGE. Please make note in your calendars.

15 year students-Is your dancer a 15 year student? Email me if so!

Parent Child Recital Dance Sign up - See attachment. Sign up HERE to participate! Senior parents-please have one or both parents sign up!!!

Tights/Jewelry Requirements - Click on the link HERE to find out which tights/jewelry your dancer needs. This needs to be ordered directly from our Curtain Call online store.   You will need these items FOR DRESS REHEARSAL. 

Easter weekend schedule - 4/21 is Easter so we will NOT have Production practice. Update- we will NOT have rehearsal on 4/20. We will likely do a Production make up practice after the recital to get ready for Nationals. 

Miss Kaylee's Leadership nights - We have only 2 more leadership nights left! Mark your calendars for 4/14. 8:00-9:00PM at the studio. We will do a make up session for the missed meeting this weekend.

POINTE class! - We are bringing back our Pointe program this summer. Mr Micah will be evaluating students this spring (watch for an eval date) and offering this class over the summer. Stay tuned!

Intensive week - 6/17-20

This is a great way to prep for Competition Auditions, which are the following week!

Musical Theater Heels Class - ages 12-up- Learn to dance in heeled shoes. We will have some character shoes at the studio to borrow for most sizes, or bring your own.

 Spring break - The studio is closed over the Forest Lake District's spring break. We may hold a couple of days of competitionclasses (combined choreo classes) since we have students from other districts with different spring break weeks. I'll keep you posted.
